5 Solid Reasons To Avoid Cheap Bike Chain
1. Cheap Bicycle chains are such a nuisance since they wear out swiftly and easily. Low quality and cheap bicycle chains have minimal roller lubrication flow thus interfering greatly with the functionality of the multi gear system of the bike. They are also more expensive since there will be need to replace them often especially when the lubricants do not even penetrate into its links.
2. Cheap bike chains have low mechanical efficiency and reduced mechanical advantage with negative effects on the resultant speed of the bike. They are prone to rust and dirt accumulation. It is a big mess having to refit the chain back into the roller for a novice rider especially when a chain box is fitted to the bike.
3. The adjustment of gear is mere mechanical mockery especially when the bike is operating on cheap and poor quality chains. Imagine a high speed rider or racer trying to engage a gear and rounds of engagement misses are the results.
4. Poor quality and cheap bike chains have less tooth grip and are always on and off the roller teeth. This means that a rider must be on and off the bike to refit it.
5. Cheap chains are of sub-standard quality and are more likely to break. This is very dangerous and disappointing especially when a rider is soaring at a high speed.
Cheap chains make riding a bike really uncomfortable especially when the links keep on missing the alignments and a cracking sound that annoys is the order of day their poor functionality and efficiency is a limitation to the loads that a bike can handle.
